What are Good Natured Products made from?
Good Natured uses plant-based, bio-based, and compostable PLA (polylactic acid from annually renewable plants).
Are Good Natured Products compostable or recyclable?
Yes, the products we carry at Good Start Packaging are all commercially compostable PLA products. PLA products are not recyclable however.
What certifications do Good Natured Products have to back their compostable claims?
Good Natured Products works with third-party certification bodies including BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute) and the Compost Manufacturing Alliance (CMA). Their compostable items are tested to meet standards like ASTM D6400 or equivalent.
Do Good Natured Products use harmful chemicals like BPA, PFAS, or phthalates?
No. Good Natured products contain no chemicals of concern. They avoid BPA, PFAS, phthalates, and similar substances in their compostable and recyclable material formulations. Generally speaking, these chemicals are not found in PLA.
