Our line of solid color portion cups is made from bagasse, the fibrous material remaining after sugarcane stalks are crushed to extract their juice. Because sugarcane grows to maturity in 18 months and is already being harvested for food, this material is very environmentally friendly. Certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI), a third-party agency. Grease and cut resistant and appropriate for hot food.
